Cuyahoga Valley Art Center – Floral and Landscapes Exhibit

If you’re interested in getting a little, local art culture in your life, check out the current exhibit at Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (CVAC): Floral and Landscapes.

Running from June 9 to July 23, the exhibit is a vibrant juried showcase celebrating the beauty of nature through the eyes of the region’s practicing artist community. Featuring works in a wide array of mediums, this exhibition highlights lush florals, sweeping landscapes, tranquil seascapes, and dramatic skylines—ranging from realistic depictions to bold, abstract interpretations.

Nordonia Hills News contributor, Brad Nellis, has two pieces in the show featuring local waterfall scenes photographed in long exposure and presented in a black and white format.

Nellis is a retired technology professional who worked in tech in Northeast Ohio for more than 25 years. He developed a passion for hiking and nature photography many years ago and enjoys showing his work in local shows and featured exhibitions. His work has been included in exhibitions at Summit Artspace, Peninsula Art Academy, and CVAC; he has also hosted solo exhibitions at the Twinsburg Public Library

Founded in 1934, Cuyahoga Valley Art Center is a nonprofit visual art organization whose mission is to support a vibrant learning community of practicing visual artists. CVAC offers over 150 classes and workshops in drawing, painting, and ceramics annually, empowering over 1,300 students to refine their skills and potentially showcase their creations through eight community exhibits.
